Who we are
Repurposer (repurposer.ai) is run by MAYN LLC. It turns a creator’s own short videos into posts on the creator’s Facebook Page and Instagram account, each carrying that creator’s Amazon affiliate link. Questions about this policy go to [email protected].
What we collect
Your account. Your name, email address and a hashed form of your password, the name of your workspace, your role in it, and the invite code you used while the service is in testing.
Your videos. The files you upload, and the files we derive from them to do the work: a poster image, sampled frames, an H.264 rendition for publishing, a transcript and any text visible in the picture. When you import one of your own TikTok videos by link or handle, we fetch the public video and its public details (caption, hashtags, post date, your handle) through a third-party provider, ScrapeCreators, only when you ask for that import.
Products and links. The product you confirm for a video, its Amazon page, your affiliate link and the Amazon tracking IDs you enter. If you add Amazon Creators API credentials, they are stored encrypted and used only for product lookups you request.
Facebook and Instagram. When you connect a Facebook Page and its linked Instagram professional account, Meta sends us the Page and account identifiers and names, the permissions you granted, and access tokens. We keep the tokens on our servers and use them only to do what you set up: publish Reels, post the first comment, read comments on your posts to find your keyword, send a private reply to a person who asks for a link, and post one public reply under that person’s comment. The private reply is on by default; you can switch it off for one post or for your whole workspace. The public reply is one short sentence you can edit or switch off. For seven days after publishing or listing, the comments on a post the app published, or on a post you listed under “Add a post”, are read periodically, only to find the keyword. Each connected Page and Instagram account also sends us Meta’s notification for every new comment on any of its posts, with the comment’s text and the commenter’s public name and identifier; we keep the notification, and act on it only when the comment is on one of those posts and says the keyword. After a private reply goes out, that one conversation is read for 24 hours, only for the person’s answer and for the word STOP. A STOP is kept as an opt-out record (the platform and the person’s identifier) so that account gets no further message from yours.
Posts and what you saw. The identifiers and permalinks of posts we publish for you, how each one went, and what you record about it afterwards (for example, whether Facebook added its product banner). When you open “Add a post”, we read the recent posts of each connected Page and Instagram account from Meta to list them; for a post you list, we keep its identifiers and permalink, a copy of its thumbnail and the first line of its caption.
Hand-off link. When that feature is switched on, the link in a private reply is a short page on our domain that opens the Amazon app with your affiliate link. For each such page we keep counts: how often it was opened, how often the Amazon app was tried and how often the web link was taken.
Technical data. Your IP address and request details, used for request limits, security and error diagnosis, and two session cookies that keep you signed in. We run no advertising trackers and no third-party analytics.
How we use it
- To run the service: process your videos, identify the product in them, build your links, publish where you approved, and show you what happened.
- To identify products, we send frames and the transcript of a video to an AI provider (OpenAI). Your account details are not part of that request.
- To answer comments: comments on your posts are read to find your keyword, so the replies (on by default, off whenever you say) can send your link.
- To keep the service safe: request limits, sign-in protection and an audit log of security-relevant actions.
- To contact you about your account or the service. We do not send marketing email.
Data from Facebook and Instagram
Data we receive from Meta is used only to provide the features you enable, is never sold, and is never used to build advertising profiles. We follow Meta’s Platform Terms and Developer Policies. When you disconnect a Page in Accounts, its access tokens are removed at once; comments and post records kept for your history are deleted when you delete your account or ask us to (see Data deletion).
Amazon
Links are built with your own Amazon tracking ID, so Amazon pays commissions to you, not to us. We do not see your Amazon earnings unless you upload a report or connect Amazon’s Creators API yourself. Every caption we publish carries a disclosure: the Amazon Associates statement for an Amazon link, #ad for any other link.
Who we share it with
- Hosting and storage: DigitalOcean (servers, database and file storage in the United States).
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram), to publish and to read comments on your behalf.
- Amazon, when you look up a product or connect the Creators API.
- OpenAI, for product identification from video frames and transcripts.
- ScrapeCreators, when you import a TikTok video.
- Authorities, when the law requires it.
We do not sell personal data.
How long we keep it
For as long as your account exists. Videos stay until you delete them; a deleted video’s files are removed from our storage within a day. A disconnected Page keeps a record without its tokens. When your account is deleted, your workspace’s data is deleted within 30 days, except what we must keep for security or legal reasons (such as parts of the audit log).
Your choices
- See and change your details, videos, products and links in the app.
- Disconnect a Facebook Page at any time in Accounts.
- Switch the replies off for one post or for your workspace, and edit or switch off the public reply, in Posts.
- Delete videos in the app, and delete your account by writing to us.
- Ask us for a copy of your data, or to correct or delete it. Depending on where you live, the law may give you these rights; we honour the requests either way.
Security
Traffic is encrypted in transit, passwords are stored hashed, Amazon credentials are stored encrypted, and access to production systems is limited to the people who run the service. No method is perfect, so tell us at once if you think your account was used without your permission.
Children
Repurposer is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone younger.
